Rights and Privileges of Members

PMES draws membership from local citizens and resident foreigners who are involved in evaluation activities in all levels of government, the business community, and academia, as well as individuals interested in or involved with evaluation. Membership in PMES can be Individual or Institutional. Each member has a right to be involved in the activities of PMES, through a variety of opportunities such as:

  • Voting rights at PMES’s yearly general meetings. A Corporate member is entitled to one vote as an Individual is.
  • Right to be an officer of PMES (such as membership in the Board of Directors). A representative of a Corporate member can be elected as officer.
  • Regular electronic updates on the Association’s events, evaluation information both local and international, job opportunities, research and study reports, and other issues of interest to the development evaluation professional.
  • Personal notification of reduced registration fees for PMES conferences, which provide invaluable opportunities for building professional networks. exchanging views, and enhancing knowledge and skills in evaluation practice.
  • Copies of all publications, such as conference and seminar proceedings.
  • Access to all of PMES’ electronic knowledge base and communications, including e-news and website.
  • Participation in any of the working committees and groups that are formed from time to time.
  • Occasional bursaries, enabling selected members/applicants to attend development evaluation conferences or seminars.
